It is here that you will fully comprehend the power of the Montessori Approach to create wonder and excitement and to make learning a thrilling experience.

All 16 workshop seminars are held on a Saturday over the time you are doing your coursework at our Nursery school location in Suffolk. The seminars are usually one Saturday a month all year around and attendance is required for all workshops. Start date to be advised during March 2012.

Practical Exam

In the Practical Exam you will demonstrate your knowledge of how to use the apparatus effectively. Your practical exam typically takes place at the end of the workshops, whilst your memory is fresh.

Written Exam

The written exam is the penultimate stage on your road to qualification for the Full International Diploma. The two written exam papers test the full range of topics covered on the course. You can sit your written exam once you have successfully completed your coursework, and all the workshop seminars and attempted the practical examination. This should be done within two years of your initial registration on the course.

Teaching Practice

Once you have completed the Coursework and Apparatus Workshop, together with your exams, you are ready for the big wide world. To facilitate a smooth transition you will now undergo formal, tutored and monitored teaching practice.

The teaching practice can take place at our Montessori Nursery or at your own setting, subject to the necessary approvals and standards being in place (this however does incur an extra mileage charge payable to the assessor direct).

The teaching practice involves a period of 420 hours attendance, during which time you will be assessed by a qualified tutor. You will also complete a teaching practice file and a child profile.

When you have successfully completed your teaching practice you will be awarded the International Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy. This is a United Kingdom Level 4 CWDC qualification, which is recognized recognized by Montessori nurseries all around the world.
